My Vision….

Imagine what it would be like to discover a landfill site 3000 to 5000 years from now and dig up old technology that, in its time, was amazing and something we couldn’t live without. Would we understand what it was? How would we interpret these objects?

Like all artists, I have had some interesting inspirations over the years; in 1992, while running a graphic arts and design studio in Greensville, I was struck by an article I read concerning the enormous electronic component waste being dumped into landfill sites. I collected some scrap foam core, purchased some paint, and started to create what I call TECHNOSTONES.

In a small way, I am trying to keep one of the most toxic inventions we have become obsessed with out of landfill sites.

As an expressionist, I interpret the chaos we deal with daily. Each piece is unique and tells a story of our human journey and our greed to have the latest and greatest gadgets.

My artwork was created to preserve our history and to remind us of both where we have been and where we are going.

What was and is thrown aside has now been reborn to be appreciated for years to come.

I have sold many of them in art auctions and Hamilton web crawls over the years. I also had them in an exclusive lighting showroom in Toronto and on Queen Street at a one-of-a-kind market just before the pandemic hit.
